Bio Statement:
In 1956, BFA from The Tyler School of Art . 1958, MFA from The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred, NY. 1958 ­ 1964, taught ceramics and 2-D visual design at North Texas State University in Denton, TX. 1964 to 1966, maintained an independent studio at Cape Street Pottery in Asfield, MA. 1966, became Professor of Ceramics at The Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Elkins Park, PA. Selected Prizes/Awards: Crafts Fellowship, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, 1988. Honorary Fellow, NCECA, 1983. Visual Artists Fellowship, NEA, 1979. Selected Public Collections: The Contemporary Museum, Honolulu, HA. The International Academy of Ceramics, Geneva, Switzerland. The Los Angles County Museum of Art and many more.

Artist Statement: At this point in my career I have become focused on The House as a symbol. It is a multivalent symbol with psychological and physiological ramifications as basic as childhood. Asked for a container for a tree, I give you a Tree House- It's really that simple.
